Sergeant Peiffer was the regimental flag bearer on July 1, 1863 at Gettysburg and was killed in that capacity on that day.  read more »

Pharis entered the unit in the fall of 1863 and was wounded at North Anna in 1864.
His younger brother Peter was also in Co.I.  read more »

Peter entered the unit before Gettysburg and served until the unit was mustered out.
He was wounded in the left arm at Laurel Hill (Spotsylvania) on May 8th or 9th, 1864.  read more »
