JAMES W. BEATTY, farmer and stock raiser, Section 29, P. O. Vesta, was born in Crawford County, Pa., and came to Nebraska in 1868 and has been actively connected with the present industries since. In 1868, he was married in Pennsylvania to Miss Mary A. Turner, who was born in Mercer County, Pa. He has two daughters by his first wife, Lillie A. and Emma, and two sons and two daughters by his present wife, Harland U., Waldo H., Lulu I., Jennie and Chatty Pearl.
