Sarah Hamilton m. David Bower or Bowers of Mesopotamia, Ohio

Rosa, Charles E., Ada
Rosa Bower was Ernest Foley’s mother.
Both Sarah and David are buried at Fairview Cemetery, Mesopotamia, Ohio.
David was in the 105th Volunteer Regiment of Ohio. He was wounded but survived.

James Hamilton, agent of John Fields, of Philadelphia 1798, moved in and gave an impetus to the settlement, but in 1808 removed to Meadville. The first grist mill was erected near Oil Creek Lake in 1800 by James Hamilton, repaired and rebuilt in 1921. James Hamilton was a veteran of the War of 1812.
