My dad perofrmed in the South Pacific with Bob Hope. He played trumpet, piano, sang and danced.

Marian (Mickey) Lind Foley married Bernard (Buddy) Paul Valentine in 1946. Marian was the daughter of Anna Lind and Ernest Foley who were married in Franklin, Pennsylvania. in 1911.
Anna Lind's parents were born in Sweden. She lived with her cousins in Oil City, Pennsylvania until she married. Ernest's parents were Rosa Bower of Ohio and Richard Foley of Oil City, Pennsylvania. Ernest was raised in Venango County, Pennsylvania.
Marian's father worked for the Pa. Railroad and they moved often. Marian was born in Lowelville, Ohio and lived in Struthers, Ohio, Meadville, Ohio and Mc Kees Rocks, Pennsylvania, (Pittsburgh) Bernard was born and raised in North Braddock, Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh) The son of Edith and John Valentine who raised him. He was born out of wedlock to Catherine Valentine, the sister of John Valentine.
MARIAN AND BERNARD VALENTINE WERE MY PARENTS.
Marian and her mother are buried in Greendale Cemetery, Meadville, Pennsylvania.
