Transcription of marker: "Aged 26 y, 3 mo, & 16 days. Son of John & Maria Leighty"

Died 18 August 1873
Based on age inscription, born on 2 May 1847.

When cemetery was visited on 17 August 2008, the headstone was found leaned against a tree behind the barbed wire that marks the perimeter of the cemetery.
