Miller in Rockdale & Venango Townships, 1870's through 1930's
The Miller of particular interest to me is:
Daniel Watson Miller; born September 25, 1862; passed away October 19, 1934.
Wife: Sarah Melvina (Tuttle) Miller; married December 25, 1883
Both are buried in the Miller Station Cemetery.
Below is a bit of his Obituary:
"The many friends of Watson Miller regret to lear[n] of his death which occurred at his home in Venango Township on October 19, 1934."
"Mr. Miller was born in Erie Co., PA, September 25, 1862. In early youth he moved to Rockdale Township, Crawford, County, where most of his life was spent with the exception of the last fifteen years during which he and his family resided in Venango Township."
"At an early age Mr. Miller joined the U.B. Church at Brown Hill. He has always been a true Christian and will be sadly missed in the Skeltontown Church and Sunday School where he was a regular attendant until his recent illness.
After a prayer service at the home Monday at one o'clock the funeral services were held in the Church at Millers Station. The services were conducted by Rev. Forrest Amy of Cambridge Springs, assisted by Rev. Hewit of the (a portion of the article seems to be missing)...and Rev. Bensinger of Waterford. Rev. Amy was a school-mate and lifelong friend of the deceased."
I have had difficulty determing who his parents were and would appreciate any help.
I am a member of Ancestry.com and would be happy to share the information I've found and have open arms to anyone who can help or wants help. My own email is MKBarkle@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
Mary K. Barkle
